About the Breeder

The start of Morland Labradors has been a long journey. Never intending to breed but hooked on the thought of maintaining the quality of the Labrador, drew me in on a hobby that is now a part of who I am.

At the start of admiring such a wonderful breed at a young age, I had always wanted a dog with the "ears pointing down". My mother then came to realize I had been talking about a Labrador Retriever.

After growing up with a mixed breed the thought of paying for a pet was out of the question for my parents. Years went by and the opportunity arose and I got my wish. Since the age of 12 I have always had a Labrador by my side.

Being so enamored by such a loving, beautiful creature I wanted more!  I had heard that Labs were like potato chips, no one can have just one! This is a true fact!

I had been introduced to a successful local breeder and began my personal venture.

After being married I got my first labrador to show and learned the ropes. With so much to learn, I have had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people who share the same interest.

After going around and around about having a litter, I decided I wanted to breed my "own".  With a husband who supports my dream and three children who tolerate a crazy lifestyle, our experiences have been rewarding.

Every breeding that we do is planned out for ourselves. I love sharing with those who appreciate our devotion and treat our labradors like a family member.

We have been limited to the amount of dogs we can have in our home so we strive for quality, not quantity.

Our dream is to someday have a home where we can expand our breeding program.  A place where we can have "more land".
